Material Flow Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Designs and optimizes the movement of raw materials, parts, and finished goods within a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective production.
• Reduces waste by developing end-to-end material handling processes and designing warehouse layouts.
• Collaborates with Production, Logistics and Supply Chain teams to improve safety, quality and reduce material handling costs.
• Uses data and simulation software to model material flow and validate labor/equipment requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in material flow engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in CAD software for layout planning.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in material flow engineering or supply chain management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain management best practices.
