Material Expeditor

About the role

This position supports wholesale supply chain functions including receiving and processing incoming assets, managing traffic, operating forklifts, and handling material movement.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing incoming assets from various supply sources, storage, inventory, packing, packaging, transportation, repair cycle support, cargo movement/planning, and demilitarization of equipment/parts prior to disposal action.
• Using computer terminals, handheld terminals, scanners, and other equipment to input data for required transactions.
• Operating forklift trucks and automated material handling equipment to move, stack, and unstack, load, and unload material.
• Managing traffic as part of the supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Subject to random drug testing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling vehicles.
• Experience in traffic management (preferred).

Skills

• Computer literacy.
• Handheld terminal and scanner proficiency.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Monday - Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM, excluding federal holidays and special organizational days.

Various locations at Lackland AFB and Port San Antonio, Texas.
