Material Coordinator - Weekend Nights

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a qualified Material Coordinator. Material Coordinators are a part of the supply chain network and serve as key roles within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for material flow to all production lines as directed.
• Pull and place material for production as required.
• Perform all SAP transactions to account for material accuracy using a barcode scanner.
• Move QA Hold material from production lines to QA‑assigned locations.
• Pull and package material being sent to suppliers.
• Coordinate and communicate with receiving clerks to provide manufacturing areas with requested materials and support receiving as needed.
• Rotate stock as required.
• Organize stock for efficient retrieval and placement.
• Assist Shipping/Receiving as needed.
• Participate in continuous training on new equipment or processes within job scope and additional assignments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks to move materials.
• Manage inventory by conducting cycle counts and inventory audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with SAP; all transactions performed according to internal procedures and specifications.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed.

Skills

• Operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks.
• Conducting cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Using barcode scanners for SAP transactions.
• Effective communication and coordination with receiving clerks and other departments.
• Organizing stock for efficient retrieval and placement.

Schedule
