Minimum Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- 6 - 12 months experience in warehouse operation
- Enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program is required in accordance with standards
- Valid Driver's License, CDL Learner's Permit or CDL Class "B" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle record review)
- Journeyman High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Vocational/Specialized Training. Journeyman Certification.
- 5-7 years' experience in customer service
- 5-7 years' experience in data entry
- 5-7 years' experience in warehouse operations
- Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class "A" or "B" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle review)
Job Responsibilities And Performance Objectives
- Check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination and routing are correct.
- Inspects incoming orders to verify type, quantity, and condition against orders.
- Identifies and marks parts and material using stock number, price, and quantity, then stores them in predetermined location.
- Posts all receipts and issue of materials to appropriate record.
- Orders parts and materials for stock and immediate use.
- Ensures the warehouse is clean and orderly.
- Routes incoming goods to the proper departments.
- Unpacks and sorts incoming merchandise.
- Loads or unloads material, equipment, merchandise or supplies from automobiles, trucks, or other vehicles.
- Affixes bill of lading to outgoing shipments.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
