The Material Controls & Logistics Specialist
Based in Idaho Falls, ID, the Material Controls & Logistics Specialist at Aalo Atomics is responsible for owning and coordinating all inventory, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure accurate, efficient operations across the Idaho site.
- Maintain ION inventory accuracy, including material location, status tracking, and system updates.
- Oversee the receipt of incoming materials and verify documentation against Purchase Orders (POs), packing slips, Bill of Lading (BOLs), Certificate of Conformance (CoCs), Material Transfer Requests (MTRs), and traceability requirements.
- Identify and escalate documentation discrepancies and support cycle counts, inventory audits, and resolution of variances.
- Coordinate material movement and shipments between the panel shop, Aalo-X, and Aalo-0 sites, aligning closely with production needs.
- Prepare, stage, and coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of materials to job sites when needed.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of hands-on warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience working with ERP/WMS systems (such as ION, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Epicor), including processing inventory transactions and performing reconciliations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools, including email and spreadsheets, along with the ability to read and interpret Bill of Materials (BOMs), Purchase Orders (POs), and packing lists.
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in documentation, labeling, and serial/heat number tracking.
- Experience working in highly regulated, high-traceability industries such as nuclear, aerospace, medical device, or oil & gas environments.
- Familiarity with NQA-1 quality standards, including exposure to MRB/quarantine processes and receiving inspection workflows.
- Working knowledge of hazardous materials and regulated shipping requirements (DOT, IATA, IMDG), along with basic understanding of export control regulations (EAR/ITAR).
- Experience applying Lean principles (e.g., 5S) and participating in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
- OSHA forklift certification preferred, with additional skills in basic rigging and load securement.
