Material Control-Lead Supervisor
Ford Motor Company is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our Parts Distribution Center team in Denver. In this vital on-site role, you will lead a skilled team, ensuring safety protocols are rigorously followed, inventory is accurately managed, and orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time.
About the role
As a Lead Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of a Parts Distribution Center, leading a warehouse team and a grade 6 supervisor. This position requires flexibility, including the ability to work any shift—nights, weekends, and most holidays. Eligible for overtime pay when working holidays. There is no hybrid option for this position.
Responsibilities
- Lead a represented team responsible for Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping.
- Deliver objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, and Absenteeism.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including suppliers, to deliver key objectives.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholders, including fair and consistent administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Manage behaviors and accountability in processes for yourself and the hourly workforce.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5-year leadership experience.
- Minimum 2-year work experience in similar positions.
- Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, and afternoon shifts with varying hours.
- Must be flexible with shift times and willing to work overtime.
- Must be willing and able to work onsite full-time in the Kansas City High Velocity Center (Shawnee, KS).
- Demonstrated ability to actively listen, collaborate, and problem-solve with stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Prior Warehouse Supervisor experience.
- Experience working in a UAW environment.
- Experience in warehouse/distribution/production operations.
- Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), preferably SAP/EWM.
- Knowledge of Payroll Systems.
