Job Duties
- Assess students, analyze data and write assessment-based intervention plans based on the CLIFFTOP model.
- Draft initial and progress reports, which are shared with families.
- Create semester objectives, teaching strategies, and home extension plans for lessons.
- Deliver instruction under the direction of the Director, adjusting based on student progress monitoring.
- Communicate with families about scheduling, student reports, and weekly home extensions.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction including grading.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of work unit employees involved in instructional support as needed.
- Develop teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness in alignment with desired outcomes and established strategy.
- Aid in developing techniques and/or model programs for carrying out instructional goals in disciplinary areas and assist in identifying new techniques.
- Assess learner performance and prepare reports recommending instructional improvements.
- Define the objectives of the program and play a major role in its execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Relevant Wisconsin Teaching Certification or equivalent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Classroom literacy or intervention experience.
- Relevant Wisconsin Teaching Certification: reading teacher license (1316) and/or reading specialist license (5017).
- Master of Arts or Masters of Science in Reading/Literacy, Special Education, or Speech and Language.
Compensation
Tutoring: Lump sum pay rate of $1400/per student/per semester
Pre-tutoring assessment/Pre- and Post-tutoring reporting: $350 per student/semester
Total: $1750 pay per student/semester
