About the role
The Onsite Master Scheduler will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Daily contact with a select group of customers regarding order entry, service, and invoicing.
- Receive orders, interpret and confirm pricing, and ensure supply meets demand by collaborating with Production and Shipping.
- Complete order entry into the computer system and provide acknowledgements to customer orders.
- Review and communicate any variances from customer plans at the time of acknowledgement.
- Escalate customer service issues to the Supply Chain Manager for review with the sales team.
- Establish timelines for new product development to ensure on-time launches and communicate progress to customers.
- Build strong customer relationships through service, responsiveness, organization, and follow-up.
- Manage all assigned customer correspondence related to product shipments, development, acknowledgments, release planning sheets, and invoicing.
- Review production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables to determine personnel or materials requirements.
- Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite production schedules.
- Compile information such as production rates, materials inventories, and customer data for status reports.
- Maintain price lists in the Avante system to ensure invoicing accuracy and alignment with customer purchase orders.
- Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to cost estimates.
- Complete performance reports as instructed by the Supply Chain Manager and notify management of progress issues.
- Assist with basic administrative duties in the front office to support team members.
- Provide backup support to Inventory Control, Purchasing, Finance, and Phones as needed.
- Confer with department supervisors to assess progress and discuss necessary changes.
- Ensure customer service and satisfaction by meeting due dates consistently.
- Collaborate with Production, Materials, Shipping, and Quality teams to address past-due orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least five years of related experience preferred.
- Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and production scheduling.
- Proficiency in Excel (including formula usage), Word, Email, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel to other divisions when required.
- Availability to work in the office Monday to Friday.
- Detailed and hands-on orientation.
