About the role
An integral role within the Supply Chain team, leading inventory performance, excess & obsolete process, supporting NPI & change management through Product Change Process (PCR), and supporting SIOP. These responsibilities aim at strong business process performance driven through working relationships with supply chain managers, product managers, materials managers, and buyer/planners. The Supply Planner will monitor and evaluate inventory positions, recommend and initiate actions, and focus on strategic investments in working capital and inventory planning to support exceptional customer delivery.
Responsibilities
- Service (30%)
- Support buyers/planners in identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Review demand forecast by product line & component.
- Ensure materials are available to support customer requirements while minimizing freight costs.
- Keep material availability dates updated and accurate.
- Monitor manufacturing capacity requirements both short and long term.
- Work with Demand Planning and Product Managers to develop accurate forecasts.
- Work with Product Management on ensuring new products perform acceptably.
- Overall product line responsibility for service levels.
- Inventory (30%)
- Work with Purchasing on reducing lead times, minimums, and price break quantities.
- Provide forecasts to major suppliers if required.
- Define component inventory targets.
- Define and update planning parameters.
- Monitor and maintain PFEPs (Plan For Every Part) for associated product lines.
- Coordinate and manage new product releases to project plans/milestones.
- Continuously look for inventory opportunities.
- Monitor "aged" inventories to identify opportunities to reduce and prevent excess.
- Overall product line responsibility for inventory levels.
- Get all obsolete/rejected inventory dispositioned and ultimately consumed, sold, or scrapped.
- People, Process, Culture (10%)
- Review procedures and practices to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to fellow associates.
- Provide a "Best Experience" to all contacts by consistently following our "Guiding Principles."
- Influence a diverse group of associates to the optimal decision.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Maintenance (30%)
- Responsible for maintaining the most effective/efficient system settings.
- Create work orders and purchase orders in accordance with service and inventory objectives.
- Analyze component consumption patterns & load forecast adjustments or overrides.
- Review all PCR (Product Change Requests) and take appropriate action.
- Component maintenance: effective date, safety stock elimination, remove forecast, etc.
- Monitor and ensure all lead times are accurate.
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of attach rate plans.
- Work with Product Management to most efficiently and effectively introduce and exit programs.
Requirements
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and/or graduate degree.
- 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.
- Prior experience working in custom ATO of highly configured products.
- Preferred candidate will have prior experience with SAP, Anaplan, and/or Friedman Corporation (Frontier software/FRN).
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Competency with PC-based networked applications.
- Ability to analyze data, prioritize effectively, and make sound, time-sensitive decisions.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Understanding of PFEP (Plan for Every Part) concepts.
- Bilingual a plus.

Pay
The annual base for this position is reasonably expected to be between $75,000.00 and $85,000.00. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
