About The Role

The Master Production Scheduler develops and manages master production schedules by aligning demand forecasts, production capacity, and material availability to ensure efficient operations. The role oversees scheduling processes, balances supply and demand, and coordinates functions to support production goals. The position contributes to on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and overall operational performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain ownership of master production schedules aligning demand forecasts with production capacity constraints.
  • Develop long-term and short-term production plans based on forecasts and customer requirements.
  • Balance supply and demand to optimize inventory levels and production efficiency.
  • Adjust schedules to respond to changes in demand, capacity, or material availability.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution:
    • Collaborate with production, supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to align priorities.
    • Communicate scheduling plans, risks, and adjustments to stakeholders and leadership teams.
    • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to maintain workflow and delivery timelines.
    • Resolve scheduling conflicts impacting capacity, materials, or customer delivery requirements.
    • Support prioritization of orders while maintaining overall production balance and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, demand forecasting, and capacity management.
  • Experience using ERP systems and advanced planning or scheduling tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and planning activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in operational environments.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and adjust plans in dynamic environments.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working with planning systems and data.
  • Ability to walk on production floors as needed to support scheduling activities.
  • Ability to wear required PPE when entering production environments.
