Position Overview
The purpose of the Master Production Planner's role is to plan rough cut capacity and provide monthly production volumes across all plant locations. The incumbent of this position will also be responsible for planning production actions for peak seasons and times of extended shutdowns.
Your Day-to-Day
- Assess plant production hours availability
- Track and report curtailments, planned shutdowns and line yields
- Analyze net inventory with forecasted shipments to determine necessary production
- Provide rough cut capacity reports and oversee approval of out-of-pattern shipments
- Stock transport orders between plants and ensure movement of production during times of limited supply
- Run capacity, manufacturing, distribution and site location/cost scenarios
- Manage key supplier purchasing forecasts to optimize inventories and service levels
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, which should include 1 year of experience in production planning or order management. Equivalent combinations of education and applicable production planning or order management experience will be considered.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of manufacturing locations preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Minimal travel, 0-15 days per year
- Work environment is an office setting
Pay
$84,300.00-$115,900.00 Annual. This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
