TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Promote and support Safety 24/7 to all team members, both maintenance and operations.
- Collaborate with safety personnel to provide safe practices for equipment and personnel.
- Lead MAP meetings with crews to identify and eliminate potential hazards, states, and errors.
- Build trust through safety conversations, observations, and operating with leadership.
- Leads and manages several field mechanics, truck mechanic, fuel and preventative maintenance team members.
- Manage workload for mechanics under him/schedule, work with Travis Keefer if under manned and help needed.
- Define and communicate to each mechanic their roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor and manage mechanic’s weekly time worked.
- Deliver important info/literature to mechanics from FTO/management.
- Absorb and manage mechanics’ daily tasks.
- Avoid and prevent equipment abuse (unintentional and otherwise).
- Communicate with job site managers and/or operators to task train on specific and unique uses and techniques for equipment to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of equipment.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT
- Prioritize and schedule equipment repairs.
- Perform all dealer request in your area.
- Follow-up and assignment of GL claims in your area.
- Confirm monthly crane/coupler/brake/emission etc., inspections are completed.
- Ensure federal inspections are completed.
- Provide support from within the company, an outside source or dealer.
- Evaluate equipment repairs regarding parts and labor cost, downtime, need and life cycle with Travis Keefer to determine repair plan and location of repair (shop vs. field).
- Monitor and react as needed to equipment telematics reports and email alerts.
- Monitor assets that are covered under warranty, and schedule dealer repairs as needed.
- Utilization of oil analysis for preventive maintenance.
- Maintain mechanics Conex, oil sheds, fuel tanks.
- Perform/delegate required site safety inspections.
- Proactively prevents equipment abuse (unintentional and otherwise).
- Identify G.L. claims.
- Work with job on solutions/corrections/repairs.
PROJECT MAINTENANCE SUPPORT
- Work with project managers to know their expectations and goals.
- Work with project team to schedule needed repairs/service work.
- Work with project team scheduling onsite equipment moves.
- Task train operators as needed.
- Work with trucking/works dept. scheduling equipment coming in and out of job.
- Make sure equipment is ready to ship, receive, help truck drivers with loading/unloading.
- Work with project team on start time for crews and equipment needed.
