Master Mechanic - FT
Avis Budget Group is seeking a highly skilled automotive technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of vehicle makes and models with minimal technical supervision.
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning, and onboard computer systems.
- Work on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles across multiple brands and technologies.
- Serve as a technical resource for other technicians, providing guidance and sharing best practices (Master Mechanic role).
- Ensure vehicle reliability, safety, and availability to directly impact the customer experience.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
- Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with the ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
- Strong knowledge across ASE certification areas, including but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance (Light Vehicle/Diesel).
- Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
- Complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance.
- Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit, kneel, enter, exit, and drive vehicles.
- Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Regular, on-site presence required; this position cannot be performed remotely.
Previous Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage.
