Job Duties
- Maintains, repairs, and installs air conditioning systems (central and package)
- Maintains, repairs, and installs heating systems (water and steam)
- Maintains, repairs, and installs steam systems (high, medium, low pressure)
- Maintains logs and adjusts air balancing in critical areas
- Maintains / organizes shop stock
- Assigns workflow to the shop staff
- Makes rounds in all mechanical rooms, logs said rounds, monitors equipment, repairs plumbing (sinks, toilets, etc.)
- Performs plumbing installation and repair
- Snakes out drain lines and sewers
- Troubleshoots electrical and pneumatic controls and checks air compressors
- Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding safety and equipment operation procedure
- Responds to elevator emergencies
- Performs general repair to building and equipment on assigned zone/floor as requested
- Performs snow/ice removal as requested
- Completes daily time report at end of shift
Position Qualifications
- A minimum of ten years trade experience
- Ability to select and use tools and equipment appropriate to the task
- Speaks, reads, and writes English to the extent required by the position
- Good interpersonal skills
- NJ Plumbing License or HVAC License preferred
- Universal refrigeration certification is required
- Trade school (HVAC or plumbing courses) graduate is required
- The ability to weld is a plus

Pay
Salary commensurate with experience within posted range. $38.33/Hour
Differentials: Evening $1.70, Nights $1.95, Weekends $1.10
