About the Role

Responsibilities
- Use acquired skills to maintain all bag machines, printing presses, packaging, and related equipment at prescribed speed and quality levels.
- Supervise, train, manage, and mentor subordinate staff, including machine operators and other employees.
- Assist with machine set-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and maintain inventories of replacement parts and supplies.
- Start, stop, set-up, and change machines according to the daily production schedule, adjusting for unexpected issues like absenteeism or mechanical breakdowns.
- Relieve Machine Operators and other staff during breaks, absenteeism, vacations, and other PTO.
- Ensure work areas are neat, clean, and machinery is in good repair; requisition replacement parts and maintenance as needed.
- Follow and enforce all manufacturing, labor, safety, and administrative rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate and provide feedback to subordinate employees as part of the company’s Performance Management System.
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent on-the-job training and experience; additional education or vocational training is a plus.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Above-average mechanical aptitude and experience with commonly used hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, sense of commitment, and desire to succeed.
- Resourceful, creative, and self-motivated leader and problem solver.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and multi-task.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform all physical components of the position, with reasonable accommodation if required.

Pay
Starting Salary: $50,000. Upon graduation: $65,000 - $75,000.
