Master Heavy Equipment Operator - Traveling
Job Summary
This position is responsible for extensive traveling to various sites and operating off-road type heavy, mobile equipment such as cable or dragline crane, hydraulic material handler/excavator, pot carrier, and/or front-end loader. This position may be working rotating shifts. All work will be performed in a steel mill environment.
Responsibilities
- A. Perform and record routine mobile equipment pre-start and post-inspections
- B. Complete required activity reports
- C. Follow all policies and rules of the company and the customer
- D. Maintain high level of safety and abide by all safe work requirements
- E. Train operators on proper equipment operation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience as a heavy equipment operator
- Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions
- Good communications skills and ability to read operating instructions
- Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment
- Ability to travel
Qualifications

- 3+ years' experience as a heavy equipment operator
