About the role
Yunex Traffic is seeking a Master Electrician to join our team in Orlando, Florida. The position involves upgrading the existing traffic infrastructure of almost 3000 intersections to the latest controller and central traffic control technology.
Responsibilities
- Installing and upgrading traffic signals and ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) equipment
- Supervision and managing of crews
- Related maintenance and repair work
- Ongoing operation works
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal II Certification or higher
- FDOT approved Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification
- Master Electrician License (State of Florida or Reciprocating State)
- Proficiency with basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to move supplies and equipment of up to 75 lbs
- Willingness and ability to work at heights typically associated with installing, repairing, and maintaining traffic signals and streetlights
- Passes a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical exam and drug test
- Knowledge of Miami Dade County Traffic Signal and Specs Standards; Basic knowledge of NEC standards
- Installs, configures, maintains, and fixes a wide variety of traffic signal equipment components and devices
- Performs repair, removal, and replacement of traffic signal controllers and other equipment
- Set up traffic control in high and low-speed environments
- Completes reports and performs communications per company policy and local practices
- Troubleshoots and isolates faults in units or components
- Provides periodic on-call services
- Field test of units or components; tests devices to ensure they work correctly
- Maintains spare equipment and parts following established procedures
Qualifications
- At least three to five years of experience in ITS solutions and infrastructure projects, preferably in Florida
