Master Electrician

Trueline's client, a long-established, employee-owned mechanical contractor, is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to lead electrical work supporting their mechanical, HVAC, and process operations from their southern MA hub. You'll handle the electrical side of the work, from power and control wiring for mechanical equipment to troubleshooting and code compliance, for $50-$65 per hour plus an annual bonus, profit sharing, and employee stock ownership.As an employee-owned company, they share their success through an ESOP, annual profit sharing that has paid out every year for more than a decade, and a year-end bonus. With decades in business and a field team that's growing fast, this is a long-term home for a licensed electrical leader who takes pride in quality work.What You'll Do as the Master Electrician:Install, wire, and terminate power and control circuits for HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment, including motors, pumps, chillers, boilers, and VFDsTroubleshoot and repair electrical and control issues on commercial and industrial mechanical systemsRead and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and control wiring diagramsMake sure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code and the Massachusetts Electrical CodePlan and lay out electrical work, and coordinate materials and scheduling with project managers and field teamsCoordinate closely with pipefitters, HVAC technicians, controls contractors, and other tradesTrain and mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians as the team growsSet the tone for electrical safety, including lockout/tagout and safe work practicesCommunicate clearly and professionally with customers and keep accurate documentation of completed workMust-Haves as the Master Electrician:Active Massachusetts Master Electrician licenseProven commercial or industrial electrical experience, including power and control wiring for mechanical equipmentStrong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the Massachusetts Electrical CodeAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and control diagramsStrong troubleshooting skills on motors, motor controls, VFDs, and related equipmentExperience leading or mentoring other electriciansExcellent communication skills, a team-first attitude, and a strong customer-service focusOSHA 10 certification and a valid Class D driver's licenseHigh school diploma or GEDNice-to-Haves as the Master Electrician:New Hampshire or Rhode Island electrical licensingExperience working for or alongside a mechanical or HVAC contractorHVAC controls or building automation experienceIndustrial or process controls experience, including PLCs and instrumentationHazardous location wiring experience for petroleum or fuel systemsNFPA 70E training and OSHA 30 certificationOur Client Offers:Hourly pay of $50-$65, depending on experienceEmployee stock ownership (ESOP) with a five-year vesting scheduleAnnual profit sharing, paid out every year for more than a decadeDiscretionary year-end bonus based on company profits, typically paid in February or MarchOvertime opportunities, plus prevailing wage work on public sector projectsMedical coverage through Harvard Pilgrim with 60% of premiums paid by the company, plus dental and visionShort-term disability and company-paid life insurance, with optional additional life and other voluntary coverageA key licensed leadership role at a growing mechanical contractorA diverse mix of commercial, industrial, and process workTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
