What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, suspension, steering, HVAC, and drivability concerns
  • Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM equipment and manufacturer procedures
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail
  • Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Accurately document repair orders and warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards
  • Possess strong communication skills and partner closely with Service Advisors to communicate repair recommendations and timelines
  • Mentor and support apprentice and junior technicians when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
  • Continue developing your skills through ongoing factory and technical training

What We're Looking For

  • Master Technician certification required (ASE Master, Ford Master, OEM equivalent, or comparable experience)
  • Previous dealership experience as an Automotive Technician
  • Ford dealership experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced diagnostic, electrical, and drivability troubleshooting skills
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to fixing vehicles right the time
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable using diagnostic software and modern shop technology
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background screenings

At Capital Ford of Charlotte, we're looking for a Master Certified Automotive Technician who takes pride in their craft, enjoys solving complex diagnostics, and is committed to delivering exceptional workmanship every single day. Whether you've built your career with Ford or have extensive experience with another manufacturer, we're looking for a technician who can tackle advanced repairs, mentor others, and help us deliver an outstanding ownership experience for every customer. Ford dealership experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
