Responsibilities

• Responsible for comprehensive course instruction within specified program
• Provide Program Director/Director of Education with active input in course development (course descriptions, syllabus creation, textbook material, or equipment review)
• Create and revise daily lesson plans
• Continue professional growth by attending in‑service training and/or continuing education seminars and attend faculty meetings
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance
• Create a classroom environment fostering academic growth and guiding professional development
• Keep DOE apprised of student progress (academic and attendance), especially performance trends detrimental to educational foundation (academic advisement and early warning forms)
• Provide extra help to students experiencing difficulty mastering course work
• Advise students with minor problems that may be thwarting educational progress
• Refer students with major problems to the Program Director/Director of Education
• Correct and return quizzes, tests, and lab assignments within 48 hours
• Utilize instructional and audiovisual aids, and all available resources in the online environment
• Demonstrate utilization of community resources through arranging guest speakers, field trips, and class participation in community service events
