Key Responsibilities
- Performs masonry work using skills developed through at least one year of hands-on experience.
- Completes masonry tasks such as laying bricks, blocks, and stone with proficiency gained from a minimum of one year of experience.
- Utilizes masonry skills to construct, repair, and maintain structures in accordance with quality standards.
- Plans and executes hardscaping projects, using manual and power operated equipment.
- Installs retaining walls of modular concrete, ledge rock, boulders, and timbers.
- Prepares layout, using laser level, of patios and walkways with steps and elevation changes and installs according to prints provided.
- Aids Project Manager with daily operations and projects.
- Tracks and reports daily field progress.
- Operates and maintains landscaping tools and machinery.
- Keeps job site safe and secure.
- Ensures all crew members use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines.
- Leadership for implementation, safety trainings, team building, and participation in crew member reviews.
- Manages the performance of services to meet company standards and exceed customer expectations.
- Mets deadlines and project budgets.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Masonry required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to read scaled landscape drawings.
- Must have good communication skills with customers, manager, and coworkers.
- Leader and team player.
- Energetic and motivated.
- Punctual and positive attitude.
- Strong management and organization skills.
- Experience with project and/or account management preferred.
- Strong work ethic.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily conducted outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Terrain may be uneven, muddy, or sloped, depending on the worksite.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (often 50+ lbs), and operating landscaping equipment.
- May involve repetitive motions and use of hand and power tools.
- Full-time work schedule, with early morning start times.
- Overtime or weekend work may be required during peak seasons or to meet project deadlines.
