ManagementFull-time

At SSRG, we tackle complex projects and solve challenges others avoid. We believe exceptional work comes from exceptional people—people who take pride in their craft, support their teammates, and care about the quality of what they leave behind. We know our employees have lives beyond the jobsite, and we value the balance between working hard and living well. Our culture is built on trust, growth, teamwork, and shared success. Together, we're preserving history, restoring structures, and building a legacy of quality, integrity, and purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan masonry work accurately.
  • Measure, layout, and establish guidelines for precise construction and restoration.
  • Mix mortar, grout, and cement-based materials for proper application and performance.
  • Lay brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials to construct walls, floors, chimneys, and structural elements.
  • Shape, cut, trim, and finish masonry materials using hand and power tools.
  • Repair, restore, and maintain masonry structures to extend service life and preserve appearance.
  • Install and work from scaffolding while maintaining strict safety standards.
  • Inspect existing structures and identify repair or replacement needs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver quality work on schedule and within project requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
  • Communicate with clients and provide recommendations for long-term preservation and maintenance.
  • Deliver craftsmanship that reflects SSRG's commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of masonry, bricklaying, or restoration experience.
  • Strong ability to lay brick, stone, and block according to plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of mortar, grout, and cement mixing and application techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, safety procedures, and technical documents.
  • Experience operating masonry tools and equipment, including mixers, saws, trowels, levels, and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirements.
  • Physical ability to lift materials and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; masonry training or certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and pursue additional training as needed.

About the role

We're looking for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in doing the job right, values quality over shortcuts, and wants to be part of a team that builds work worth standing behind. We're not looking for someone to simply lay brick and mortar. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, builds trust, solves problems, and delivers craftsmanship that lasts.
