About the role
The Masker II performs operations to prepare substrates for Parylene coating, including cleaning, surface preparation, and masking. After the coating process, the role involves demasking, inspection, and packaging as required by specific product processes. The Masker II is proficient in masking and demasking a wide variety of products and may also handle shipping, receiving, fixture refurbishing, and other related duties.
Responsibilities
- Follow designated processes, work instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs), and other written or verbal instructions.
- Perform cleaning and preparation of customer products for masking and/or coating using basic techniques.
- Execute masking, demasking, and inspection tasks using specified methods, materials, small hand and power tools, microscopes, and other support equipment.
- Inspect own work for quality compliance.
- Perform fixturing and defixturing of parts and assemblies as needed.
- Inspect, disassemble, clean, refurbish, and reassemble coating fixtures.
- Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling requirements when applicable.
- Maintain punctuality and attendance.
- Operate precision measuring instruments and record results.
- Maintain high levels of personal hygiene, especially in clean room environments.
- Comply with clean room protocols, including PPE and hygiene standards.
- Perform scheduled clean room maintenance.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
- Properly dispose of, package, label, ship, or inspect hazardous materials or waste in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in other areas or perform additional duties as required by business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum one year of successful Masker I experience.
Skills
- Clear ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to communicate uncomplicated data, instructions, production results, quality issues, and similar subjects both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in basic math functions.
