Marymount University Men’s Basketball is seeking a motivated, energetic, and dedicated Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach to join Head Coach Chris Rogers and the Saints basketball program. This part-time position provides an excellent opportunity for an aspiring college basketball coach to gain valuable hands-on experience at the NCAA Division III level while contributing to the development of student-athletes and the continued growth of the program.
Responsibilities
- Assist Head Coach Chris Rogers with the daily operations and overall development of the men’s basketball program.
- Assist with planning and conducting team practices and individual player workouts.
- Provide instruction and development in basketball fundamentals, position-specific skills, and team concepts.
- Assist with the identification, evaluation, communication, and recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school, AAU, and club coaches.
- Assist with opponent scouting, film breakdown, game preparation, and in-game responsibilities.
- Support team travel, scheduling, equipment, and other day-to-day program operations.
- Help foster a positive team culture focused on academic achievement, personal development, and competitive excellence.
- Assist with offseason workouts and recruiting activities.
- Represent Marymount University and the men’s basketball program professionally within the campus and local basketball communities.
- Assist with the organization and operation of basketball camps and clinics.
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience at the college, high school, AAU, or competitive youth level (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, player development, and team concepts.
- Experience with or demonstrated interest in college basketball recruiting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a coaching staff.
- Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay
- $5,000 annual coaching stipend.
- Additional earning opportunity through basketball camps and clinics.
Camp and clinic opportunities and compensation will be conducted in accordance with Marymount University policies and applicable NCAA regulations.
