Maryland State Inspector - Automotive

About the role

We are seeking 2 certified Maryland State Inspectors to join our team at Koons Ford Baltimore. With over 200 used vehicles sold monthly, there is ample opportunity for growth and varied work. Approximately 50% of the vehicles inspected are Ford and Lincoln models, with the remaining being a mix of other traded and bought vehicles from auctions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect used vehicles according to Maryland State standards
• Document findings and prepare reports
• Ensure compliance with state regulations
• Communicate with customers regarding inspection results
• Handle paperwork and maintain records

Requirements

• Valid Maryland State Inspection Certificate
• Knowledge of automotive systems and components
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in automotive inspection or related field preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
