Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Create materials list/estimates.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Responsible for being in the store 4 ½ days a week with half a day visiting job sites.
- Other duties may be assigned by Store Manager.
Qualifications
- Must have building construction and product knowledge experience.
- Be able to read blueprints.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to function in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Create material estimates.
- Must be able to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Pay
This job is an hourly position (non-exempt from overtime).
Schedule
The Inside Commercial Sales person will work 4 ½ days a week with half a day visiting job sites.
