Marvin's Fayetteville - Receiving Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Unload incoming deliveries using safe lifting practices and/or equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dollies).
• Check shipments for accuracy against purchase orders or packing slips.
• Inspect for damage, defects, or missing items and report any discrepancies.
• Accurately label and organize stock in the backroom or designated storage areas.
• Restock shelves or bins on the sales floor as directed.
• Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle checks.
• Maintain proper rotation of stock to reduce spoilage or obsolescence.
• Record and report any shipment variances or issues to management.
• Complete receiving logs, stock adjustment forms, and other inventory documentation accurately.
• Cook with the purchasing department or vendors regarding issues or returns.
• Aid sales associates with locating stock or fulfilling special customer orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Follow all safety procedures and report hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 100 lbs., handle large odd-shaped items, and stock items in overhead areas.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Pay

This job is an hourly position (non-exempt from overtime).

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
