Marvin's Calera Commercial Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
• Create materials list/estimates.
• Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
• Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Sets and maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Maintain a presence in the store 4 ½ days a week with half a day visiting job sites.
• Other duties may be assigned by Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have building construction and product knowledge experience.
• Be able to read blueprints.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Create material estimates.
• Must be able to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

This job is an hourly position (non-exempt from overtime). Though successful sales associates may be considered for other opportunities within the company, the position carries no guarantee of career progression.
