Apply Digital’s Marketing Services division is a rapidly expanding full-service Martech team with members in the US, Europe, LATAM, and Asia. As a personalization agency, we bridge the gap between creative, marketing, and strategy. We specialize in cross-channel content strategy, creation, and distribution (email, paid social, push, SMS), and MarTech implementations. We work with 50+ clients, ranging from companies like YETI, Upside, and Nutrafol to established marquee brands like A+E Networks, Afterpay, and Stanley Black & Decker.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Solutions Architect with a particular strength in integrating Customer Data Platforms and marketing automation tools. The ideal candidate is wholly invested in a full-time career in MarTech, AdTech, and product, and wants to grow with our company. This role provides the opportunity to offer expert consultation across a wide variety of clients, directly influencing the technical outcome of their tech stack.

Location: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Canada, working in hours that align to ET (Eastern Timezone) or PT, or in Spain, working in hours that overlap with ET or PT (Pacific Timezone).

Responsibilities

  • Guide the implementation of a CDP (such as Hightouch or Segment) and/or Marketing Automation system (such as Braze or Iterable) from beginning to end, leading documentation and planning, through writing requirements for implementation.
  • Recognize opportunities and solutions to key business challenges through technology, recommend additional tools, and provide guidance on maximizing value from current tools, including designing entire Martech stacks from scratch.
  • Provide specifications and requirements for the internal technical team, collaborating with the technical project manager and engineers to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Lead implementation projects and consistently communicate project deliverables with clients.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in sales presentations and client standup meetings, confidently discussing deliverables, ideas, and best practices.
  • Support marketing analytics and reporting as needed.
  • Understand user journeys, marketing automation, customer data, multi/omnichannel transactional and marketing messaging, user states, events, and user journey mapping.

Examples of projects this role would lead include:

  • Multi-tool MarTech implementations, including CDP and Marketing Automation Platforms based on business use cases and prioritization alongside business strategists.
  • Assist in creating new marketing programs by translating technical requirements into required code for various data sources and their flow into each destination.
  • Marketing automation migrations, ensuring proper data schemas to maintain parity for clients’ existing lifecycle programs, optimizing for new use cases, and enabling clients with new tool features.
  • Optimize clients’ existing lifecycle programs by improving data accuracy, identifying schema improvements, or driving greater personalized messaging through other efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Experience determining cross-platform technical requirements for tools across the MarTech stack.
  • Platform experience designing and implementing solutions within Segment, Rudderstack, mParticle, Tealium, or similar CDPs.
  • Technical experience configuring automated campaigns and journeys within Lifecycle marketing tools such as Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, customer.io, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with other tools across the MarTech stack, including analytics, enrichment, and attribution.
  • Understanding of marketing attribution and ability to audit platform integrations and attribution data.
  • Proficiency with JSON or SQL/data modeling best practices.
  • Experience in data activation using reverse ETL tools like Hightouch or Census.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages and lambda functions.
  • Ability to clearly articulate/present technical topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Superior written skills, organization, email etiquette, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; friendly and thrives in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to process and break down information from emails and documents into actionable tasks.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Platform experience with Shopify or Magento is a plus.
