Marshall J. Shuler, MD, FAAD

A native of South Carolina, Dr. Marshall Shuler earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wofford College. He earned his Medical Degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He was selected by his peers of the Saunders Humanism Honor Society as exemplifying the ideals of the most humanistic physicians. Dr. Shuler then completed his residency training in Dermatology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. During residency, Dr. Shuler was selected from a national pool to serve as the resident member of the American Academy of Dermatology Maintenance Certification Committee and the Coding and Reimbursement Task Force. Dr. Shuler was a consecutive winner of the John Haeberlin Award, given to the resident achieving the highest score among all three classes of residents at the University of New Mexico Department of Dermatology on the annual American Board of Dermatology in-service training exam. Dr. Shuler is a past-President of the South Carolina Academy for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and continues to hold leadership positions within the American Academy of Dermatology. He joined Carolina Dermatology of Greenville in 2010. Dr. Shuler's areas of expertise and interest include promoting and enhancing patient's health and beauty, the surgical treatment of skin cancer, and the medical treatment of acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and other conditions of the skin.
