Marriage and Family Counselor
Primary Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose and treat psychological, behavioral and mental health issues related to families, couples or marriages, to include providing guidance and mediation to help address issues within a family unit.
Address problems independently and autonomously, formulate and implement a treatment plan using treatment modalities for individuals and families, including documenting and briefing clinical findings.
Provide evidence-based brief psychotherapy, and consult with management and other medical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or social work.
- Completion of 2,000 to 4,000 supervised clinical hours, typically acquired through a practicum or internship.
- State licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- 3 years of post-licensure/certification experience.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) experience.
About the Role
Leidos Health & Services Sector is seeking a Marriage and Family Counselor to provide referral services and expert consultation on various Employee Assistance Program and work/life issues for the government customer’s staff and contractor personnel. This is a very rewarding and challenging opportunity supporting our Military and Intelligence men and women and the challenges they face. Work will be on site in either Chantilly, VA or McLean, VA *location to be determined by staffing need.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay Range: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
