About the role
The Marlin Bar is expanding across the United States, offering a relaxed atmosphere for guests to shop, enjoy drinks, and dine. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment and ensuring guests receive excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and offer assistance with their food and beverage experience.
- Provide knowledgeable service about the food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions correctly.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of products.
- Verify guests' identification and adhere to legal requirements regarding alcohol service.
- Support the business by performing additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of bartending or similar experience.
- Current food handler's card and alcohol service certification.
- Aptitude and enthusiasm for learning about Tommy Bahama products.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus.
- Customer service skills.
- Inventory management.
- Legal compliance regarding alcohol service.
