Marlin Bar Bartender

About the role

The Marlin Bar is expanding across the United States, offering a relaxed atmosphere for guests to shop, enjoy drinks, and dine. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment and ensuring guests receive excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly smile and offer assistance with their food and beverage experience.
• Provide knowledgeable service about the food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for both staff and guests.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of products.
• Verify guests' identification and adhere to legal requirements regarding alcohol service.
• Support the business by performing additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of bartending or similar experience.
• Current food handler's card and alcohol service certification.
• Aptitude and enthusiasm for learning about Tommy Bahama products.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

• Knowledge of food and beverage menus.
• Customer service skills.
• Inventory management.
• Legal compliance regarding alcohol service.
