About the Role

Citi is seeking Full-Time Analysts to join the Commodities division in Houston, Texas. As part of Citi’s Markets division, our Commodities business is a global leader, offering trading and marketing services in power, natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and metals. This highly competitive Analyst program provides hands-on experience in risk management, marketing, origination, structured products, logistics, and fundamental analysis. Analysts work closely with senior salespeople and traders on the trading floor, gaining valuable skills and knowledge to build a long-term career.

Training and Development

All Commodities Analysts participate in a comprehensive orientation and training program led by external consultants and internal experts. Courses include:

  • Oil fundamentals
  • Power fundamentals
  • Natural gas fundamentals
  • Overview of derivative products
  • Option pricing
  • Risk management
  • Trading simulations

Responsibilities

Analysts will be placed on various desks, performing a range of functions and increasing their contributions as they grow. Potential desk placements include:

  • Corporate Derivatives Sales
  • East Power Trading
  • West Power Trading
  • ERCOT Trading
  • Natural Gas Trading
  • Power Fundamentals
  • Origination
  • Oil Trading
  • Structuring

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree (excluding MBA)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Graduation date between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Programming and statistics skills are encouraged but not required

Pay

Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00

In addition to salary, Citi offers discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards for eligible employees.
