Marketplace Trust and Safety Manager
Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions.
Marketplace is a new organization at Collectors, including PSA Exchange and eBay consignment. We’re looking for a Marketplace Trust and Safety Manager who will lead our Trust & Safety function to help maintain a safe, trusted, and high-performing platform for our buyers and sellers. You’ll oversee fraud prevention and enforcement programs that ensure fairness, prevent abuse, and improve the overall buyer and seller experience. This is a high growth potential role, with ownership over a business critical function. You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Marketplace and work from either our Santa Ana, CA or Jersey City, NJ office locations. Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. If you live within a 1-hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with data and business operations team to design a purpose-built fraud identification system, leveraging experience in common fraud patterns and detection best practices
- Conduct in-depth investigations of suspicious activity on our platforms
- Design and execute enforcement actions where necessary, in collaboration with legal, brand protection, and information security teams
- Create standard operating procedures for all repeatable processes to drive increasingly standardized day-to-day execution
- Document everything in high degree of detail for reference in post-enforcement appeals and legal processes
- As case load requires, manage a team of agents to investigate suspicious activity
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in marketplace / e-commerce trust & safety with some portion as a primary owner of a trust & safety function
- Highly organized and detail oriented with a strong internal sense of urgency to tackle cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable using data to drive decisions
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Passionate about building safe, transparent, and user-first marketplaces
