Marketplace Internship

About the Internship

FCS Financial is looking for three Marketplace Interns to join us for a 12-week summer experience designed to help participants explore career opportunities, build professional skills, and gain real-world exposure to the finance side of Missouri Agriculture. Interns will work with experienced professionals while making connections across our Association, discovering how FCS Financial supports agriculture and rural communities throughout Missouri.

What You'll Do

• Work with industry professionals across the Association and learn how FCS Financial serves our member owners throughout Missouri
• Be partnered with a mentor from our Young Professional group to provide guidance and support throughout the internship
• Gain exposure to the full agricultural lending process from start to finish
• Explore a variety of areas FCS Financial has to offer: Crop Insurance, Accounting & Finance, Credit Services, Human Resources, Legal, Loan Services, Audit, Marketing, Title Services, and Information Services
• Experience our "One Team" culture through collaboration, mentorship and team activities
• Customize part of your internship by spending time in areas that interest you and align with your career goals
• Travel throughout Missouri and gain first-hand exposure to the agriculture industry and our member owners

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: Starting wage of $20.00 per hour (subject to change)
• Travel Support: Eligible internship related travel expenses are covered by FCS Financial
• Duration: 12-week internship typically beginning in late May and concluding during the second week of August
• Classification: Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act

Requirements

• Current college sophomore (completed 30 credits), junior (completed 60 credits), first-semester senior, or graduate student
• Pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Education, Agricultural Communications, General Agriculture, Business, Finance, or a related field
• General knowledge of agriculture, rural communities, financial services, and FCS Financial
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Valid driver's license
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Skill in using Microsoft technologies including e-mail, word and spreadsheet processing
• Oral and written communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics and effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences
• Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association's systems and data and clients' data

Location

Marketplace Interns are assigned to one of three regional teams across Missouri:

• Northern Missouri – Team #1
• Central Missouri – Team #2
• Southern Missouri – Team #3
