About the role

As a Marketplace Clerk at Cape Kiwanda Market, you’ll be the first smiling face to welcome guests while they shop for beach-vacation essentials—picnic provisions, fresh seafood, specialty meats, cheeses, wine, beer, ice cream, firewood, and s’mores fixings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, provide item information, and direct them to products in-store.
• Monitor and control inventory; notify procurement managers of low stock levels.
• Remove expired items per company policy and promote close-dated products.
• Perform stocking duties: lifting, rotating products, ordering, blocking, dusting, and facing.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive grocery deliveries, verify order and invoice accuracy, and assist with freight unloading while maintaining cold chain when required.

Requirements

• Previous grocery store, convenience store, clerk, stocker, or deli experience preferred (not required).
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, fun environment.
• Experience with cash handling and customer service transactions.
• Strong focus on guest needs and customer service.
• State-approved Food Handler certification preferred.
