About the role
Penn State is seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist to lead digital marketing programs and support alumni engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of target audiences and their engagement/membership journey.
- Become the subject-matter expert in leveraging data for effective marketing and engagement strategies.
- Communicate Penn State’s needs, ambitions, and values through formal and informal means.
- Work with disparate data systems to extract, integrate, and report on data for audience segmentation, outreach, and decision-making.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in data governance and plan for future initiatives.
- Manage and optimize the association’s Marketing Automation function, including architecting and implementing data-driven campaigns.
- Develop and maintain processes and reporting solutions to track association activities and channel effectiveness.
- Manage market research projects, including preparing plans, budgets, and reports, and coordinating data collection.
- Represent the alumni association’s data function and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience with marketing automation systems, email platforms, web content management systems, CRM’s, event management platforms, and digital asset management systems
- Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to professional development
- Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Engagement Cloud is highly desirable
