Marketing Manager, AI and Search (SEO/SEM)
About the role
Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and AI Search Optimization professional to manage paid search, organic search, and AI visibility strategy and execution. This position as the SEO/SEM & AI Search Manager is the search subject matter expert and champion and will develop and execute the US search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and AI search visibility strategies for US commercial brands, portfolios, and products. This role will be engaged with all members of the Integrated Communications team, Strategic Communications teams, and ad agency partner(s).
Responsibilities
- Manage and implement successful SEO/SEM and AI search optimization campaigns to drive product awareness and qualified traffic to our websites and increase brand visibility in AI-generated answers
- Champion and educate the broader organization on the benefits, ranking factors, and activities required to effectively optimize our websites through organic, paid, and AI-driven opportunities
- Work cross-functionally on all aspects of SEO/SEM and AEO/GEO including research, strategy, and implementation
- Drive testing, analysis, and optimization on search and AI visibility performance to identify key opportunities and learnings
- Develop and execute AEO and GEO strategies to ensure Corteva brands are cited, referenced, and accurately represented in AI-powered answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, etc.)
- Optimize content structure, schema markup, and authority signals to maximize inclusion in AI Overviews (AIO) and featured snippets
- Monitor and report on AI search visibility metrics including citation frequency, brand mention accuracy, and share of voice across generative AI platforms
- Manage, review, and perform daily responsibilities associated with Google Ads, Bing, and other search platforms for our Crop Protection and Pioneer Seed brands
- Stay current with algorithm changes and new advances in search best practices, AI search engine developments, LLM-driven discovery trends, the competitive landscape, and vendor capabilities
- Manage budget allocation and agency relations as needed
- Provide analysis, reporting dashboards, and recommendations across traditional and AI search performance
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience developing and implementing SEO/SEM strategy, with demonstrated experience or knowledge in AI search optimization (AEO, GEO, AIO)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
- Advanced knowledge in Pay-Per-Click (PPC) strategy, tactics, and execution
- Google Ads experience
- Bing knowledgeable
- Familiarity with AI search visibility tools and platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Conductor, Profound, BrightEdge, or similar AEO/GEO tools)
- Understanding of structured data/schema markup implementation to support AI content parsing
- Knowledge of how large language models (LLMs) source, cite, and surface content, and the ability to optimize accordingly
- Experience monitoring and optimizing for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other emerging AI search surfaces is a plus
