Marketing Intern

The US Oncology Network is part of Texas Oncology, the largest community oncology provider in the country, with approximately 600+ providers in 280+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, evidence-based cancer care, making advanced treatment accessible to communities and helping patients achieve “More breakthroughs. More victories.” in their fight against cancer. Today, Texas Oncology treats half of all Texans diagnosed with cancer annually.

About the role

This is a remote, part-time Marketing Intern position supporting the Texas Oncology Corporate Marketing Team. The candidate must reside within the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation of engaging and informative marketing materials, including digital content, brochures, presentations, and social media posts.
• Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns targeting regional and surgical audiences, including email marketing, events, and webinars.
• Aid in planning and execution of marketing and promotional practice events.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and clinical specialists, to ensure cohesive and impactful marketing initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and maintaining project documentation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Interest in healthcare marketing and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Physical Demands

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work Environment

• Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
