Job Title: Marketing Intern Duration: September - November 2026 Location: Remote with travel opportunities to camp locations Hours: Part-Time/20 Hours Weekly (M-F) Compensation: College credit for college students; unpaid for recent graduates Company Description MADE Hoops is the premier grassroots basketball events organization in North America. Founded in 2014, our mission has always been Maximizing Athletes' Development and Exposure (MADE). We host 100+ boys and girls basketball events annually, including competitive camps for all ages, middle school and high school tournaments, and the top independent high school circuit in the country. We're proud to have countless McDonald's All-Americans, NCAA athletes, and NBA stars among our alumni. In addition to hosting events, MADE Hoops has a robust commercial division supported by merchandise, brand partnerships, housing, scouting, content and digital marketing business lines. About The Role We're looking for a curious, eager-to-learn Marketing Intern to join our team for 15-20 hours per week this fall. No prior marketing experience is required. This is a learning-first opportunity where you'll shadow and assist our Digital Marketing Manager and Creative team, getting hands-on exposure to paid media, email/SMS, and how a growing organization uses AI to work smarter. You'll come away with real experience across both our events business and our ecommerce merchandise business. Your Job Support the marketing team with day-to-day tasks that help drive event registrations, merchandise sales, and brand awareness. You'll learn by doing alongside the Digital Marketing Manager, Creative team, and Merch and Events team, helping with campaign tasks, pulling data, and exploring how AI tools can make everyday marketing work faster and easier. What You'll Do Paid Campaign & Email/SMS Support Shadow the team and assist with simple tasks on paid campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and TikTok AdsHelp with basic email and SMS tasks in Klaviyo, like scheduling sends or checking flows, with step-by-step guidanceHelp check on campaigns day to day and flag anything that looks unusual to your managerAssist with small updates to ad copy and creative assets as directedLearn the basics of campaign budgets and spend by observing and asking questions AI-Enabled Marketing Workflows Learn to use AI tools to help draft and tweak ad copy, email copy, and subject linesHelp spot repetitive marketing tasks that might be sped up with AI, with guidance from your managerGet hands-on practice using AI for simple things like brainstorming content ideas or summarizing reportsExplore new AI tools and share anything interesting you find with the team Growth Marketing Support Help keep UTM tracking organized for paid and email campaigns, with a template to followLook into what other brands are doing with their ads and share what you noticeAssist with simple A/B tests on things like landing pages or email subject linesBring ideas to the table for things worth testing Analytics & Reporting Help pull basic performance numbers from Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Klaviyo, and ad platformsHelp put together simple reports and slides for the team, using AI tools to make this easierLearn to read campaign performance against goals and share what you notice Required Qualifications & Experience Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or related fieldCuriosity about digital marketing, no experience necessaryWillingness to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to learn and get tasks done fasterComfortable learning new things and asking questionsBasic comfort with spreadsheets and willingness to learn analytics toolsGood attention to detail and organizational habitsSolid written and verbal communication skillsReliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotelyBasic proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) Preferred Interest in Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Klaviyo, or similar marketing platformsCuriosity about A/B testing and conversion rate optimizationInterest in using AI tools to build workflows, automate reporting, or generate contentPassion for sports, particularly basketball and youth athletics What You'll Gain Real, hands-on exposure to how marketing campaigns actually run, budgets and allA front-row seat to how a growing organization uses AI to speed up its marketingMentorship from experienced marketing professionalsBeginner-friendly portfolio-building work across multiple channelsExposure to both B2C ecommerce and events-based marketingFlexible remote work arrangementPotential for extended internship or full-time opportunity based on performance We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
