Responsibilities
The Marketing Event Specialist will be the creative and logistical lead behind all customer-facing events, both in-person and virtual, for TAPCO. Primary focuses include trade show, event, and webinar coordination with an emphasis on reporting and process evolution. This dynamic role involves interactions and collaboration with many departments throughout the organization including sales, product management, and shipping to deliver exceptional experiences.
- Responsible for the implementation of all trade show activities including pre-show planning through post-show reporting to sales and marketing leadership.
- Provide in-person coordination and support including layouts, agendas, logistics (registration, material handling, shipping, etc.), set-up, and tear down by attending customer-facing trade shows/events on and off TAPCO premises.
- Provide excellent support with the focus of building relationships with attendees and guests interacting with the TAPCO brand at trade shows/events.
- Develop product displays and demonstration units with internal stakeholder support for use at events.
- Create detailed plans for all events, including reservations, timelines, venues, staffing, materials, and budgets.
- Collaborate with the digital content team to promote events with the goal of acquiring high-quality leads.
- Maintain inventory control of marketing materials, merchandise, and trade show/event equipment.
- Lead TAPCO's online event and CEU programs in collaboration with the Creative Marketing Manager to drive high-quality leads to the sales department.
- Analyze the success of each event through post-event evaluation and ROI reports, proposing creative new improvements when necessary.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in tradeshow/event planning and management from pre-event planning through post-event completion is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% during the busy season and up to 30% during the slower season.
- Marketing Automation software (HubSpot) knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in a customer service or sales role is beneficial.
