About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing Engagement & Events Manager to develop, execute, and continuously improve PeoplesBank's event and sponsorship strategy. This role drives business development, customer engagement, community impact, and measurable business results through a portfolio of events, sponsorships, and community initiatives. The manager will partner across all lines of business to transform events into strategic relationship-building and business development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute PeoplesBank's enterprise event strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable results.
- Own end-to-end management of the Bank's event portfolio, including planning, budgeting, logistics, promotion, execution, and performance reporting.
- Research, evaluate, and secure venues, vendors, and event partners; conduct site visits and manage logistics.
- Partner with Corporate Responsibility, business lines, and community organizations to identify strategic engagement opportunities.
- Establish event objectives, success metrics, governance standards, and ROI measurement processes.
- Analyze event performance and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Manage event budgets and resources to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
- Develop and maintain event playbooks, templates, toolkits, and branding standards for consistent execution.
- Administer event intake, approval, and governance processes for associate-led and bank-sponsored events.
- Provide guidance to associates and business leaders on event planning, execution, and measurement.
- Partner with business lines to track and report on opportunities, referrals, appointments, and pipeline activity generated through events.
- Manage event registration, attendance tracking, and CRM integration for engagement and lead generation reporting.
- Establish post-event follow-up and reporting processes to document and measure results.
- Create dashboards and executive reporting to demonstrate event performance, sponsorship value, and ROI.
- Maximize business value of sponsorships and arena events through strategic planning and relationship-building.
- Oversee sponsorship fulfillment, ticket distribution, and event activation to meet contractual obligations.
- Develop standardized playbooks for grand openings, market expansion events, and sponsorship activations.
- Facilitate strategic introductions and relationship-building between customers, prospects, community partners, and associates.
- Partner across Retail, Commercial, Mortgage, Wealth, Marketing, and other business lines to drive customer engagement and cross-sell opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing, planning, executing, and evaluating events, sponsorships, or community engagement programs.
- Ability to connect marketing, sponsorship, or event initiatives to business objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and event management tools to track attendance, engagement, lead generation, and follow-up activities.
- Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of relationship-based business development, customer engagement, and sales processes.
Work Environment
- Combines strategic event planning with hands-on event execution.
- Frequent travel required for venue evaluations, partner meetings, and onsite event support.
- Responsibilities include coordinating event setup and breakdown, transporting and organizing materials, and ensuring successful execution.
- Requires standing, walking, lifting and carrying materials up to 40 pounds, and occasionally bending, kneeling, reaching, or working in confined spaces.
- Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
