Marketing & Digital Experience, SVP - Marketing Technology
About the Role
Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTI) is the technology team at the core of each of Blackstone's businesses and new growth initiatives. Serving both internal and external clients, we work to build the next generation of systems that manage risk, create efficiency, and improve transparency within the firm and across our broad community of investors and portfolio companies. BXTI is fast paced and entrepreneurial—our open, iterative design processes and rapid pace of development mean that everyone on the team can make an impact from day one. We are problem solvers who can take projects from idea to implementation. We believe in active mentoring and developing excellence. We collaborate to find the best answers for our customers, our investors, and Blackstone. We are critical to the firm maintaining its competitive edge and driving best-in-class digital experiences across all user touchpoints.
We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President to serve as the lead for Digital within our Marketing Technology team, who has a strong passion for building modern, content-driven digital experiences at scale. As a member of the Marketing Technology team, you'll own our public-facing web estate, content management, customer data, and content publishing capabilities end to end. You are equal parts problem solver and operator with an instinct for identifying what matters, a bias for action, and the resilience to see things through. This role will have a particular emphasis on the transformative build, standing up a modern content management platform, a customer data platform, and the publishing workflows that power our public websites and campaigns while simultaneously owning business-as-usual delivery on the legacy stack and seeing it safely through migration. This is a hands-on role: you will be drafting the decks, writing the specs, coordinating stakeholders, and driving engineering in partnership with our engineering leads.
Responsibilities
- Own the Digital Roadmap: Define, structure, and deliver the strategy for our public websites, content management, customer data, and content publishing capabilities. Act as the first responder to business needs, whether it's a content gap, process friction, or a brand-new digital capability.
- Build the Modern Content and Data Stack: Lead the selection, design, and implementation of a modern content management platform, customer data platform, and publishing toolchain. Get into the detail: templates, content models, taxonomy, integrations, personalization, and analytics instrumentation.
- Drive External Digital Experience: Shape the experiences that our audiences meet first. Champion design excellence, SEO, and intuitive workflows that set a new bar for digital engagement.
- Run BAU and Land the Migration: Own day-to-day delivery, support, and release management on the legacy digital stack while sequencing and executing the migration to the new platforms. Keep the lights on without slowing the transformation down.
- Translate Needs into Execution: Partner with Marketing, Communications, Design, and engineering leads to document and triage requests across web, content, data, and campaign systems. Write the specs, define MVPs, prioritize backlogs, and ensure delivery timelines are met. Coordinate across functional business and technology areas: Marketing, Communications, Legal and Compliance, Data, and Technology to ensure we deliver complete solutions, not isolated features. Push for integration, not just implementation.
- Institutionalize Process & Governance: Establish content governance, publishing standards, review and approval workflows, and platform operating procedures. Champion sustainable ways of working, across intake, prioritization, delivery, and documentation.

- Track record of building and launching public-facing websites and digital experiences, including at least one end-to-end platform replacement or re-platforming effort
- Experience running business-as-usual support and delivery on a legacy platform while migrating off it, with minimal disruption to the business
- Hands-On: you draft the decks, write the specs, and drive engineering in partnership with engineering leads. You are in the detail every day and comfortable working directly in the platforms you own
- User-Focused: you excel at uncovering deep user needs through interviews, data, and design thinking. You can build compelling user flows and personas for external audiences
- Data Driven: you use data to help drive decisions in areas like design, content, and prioritization

- Flexible: you want to work in a fast-paced environment requiring you to flex between analytical, strategic, and operational aspects of the job. Regardless of the need, you're happy to roll up your sleeves to get any job done
- Strong Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills: you have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You also know how to drive consensus among stakeholders, manage expectations, and keep strong relationships
- Experienced with Agile Processes: you have worked in agile environments and know how to break down key features into appropriate user stories. You have experience working closely with Engineers through the software development lifecycle
- Digital and Analytics Tooling: experience with web analytics, tag management, marketing automation, search, and data visualization and BI tools, as well as agile methodologies and tools
