Job Description

Provides support to the Director of Marketing/Communications in regards to all internal and external communication at Bay Area Hospital.

Skills And Abilities

  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
  • Exercises good judgement, demonstrates effective critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills using appropriate levels of the English language to effectively communicate with target audiences
  • Copy editing, proofreading, and writing skills, with adherence to style and brand guidelines
  • Expertise with online platforms: e-newsletter services, social media, and content management systems
  • Working knowledge of DSLR camera, video, audio recording, microphones, and digital tools
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS office applications

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, digital media, communications, or related field preferred

Experience

  • Experience assisting with communication programs for various external and internal target audiences
  • Experience planning, producing, posting, and coordinating content on social media platforms
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a related field
  • Extensive writing experience preferred
  • Experience with graphic design, brand standards, and design software, Adobe Creative Suite preferred and email marketing tools (Constant Contact)

Compensation Grade Profile F - Hourly

  • Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking
  • May be required to lift up to 20 pounds

  • Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects
  • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
  • May require off-site travel
