About the Role

Carex is partnering with a Financial Services industry partner to hire an experienced digital marketing and marketing automation specialist. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing digital touchpoints that support customer experience and engagement strategies. The position translates business objectives into scalable technology solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, and other digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for digital touchpoints, audience development, and marketing automation within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Execute marketing automation programs and processes from start to finish, including design, development, QA, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Develop and deploy responsive, dynamic email and mobile communications.
  • Design, build, and manage complex customer journeys, triggered communications, landing pages, email templates, and automated workflows.
  • Use SQL to query, combine, filter, and segment data for targeted digital audiences using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, DESelect, and related tools.
  • Build complex emails using HTML, CSS, AMPscript, JavaScript, dynamic content, and variables passed to CloudPages.
  • Create and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud CloudPages, landing pages, and email templates.
  • Create and update Sitecore web pages, components, and existing digital content.
  • Manage and manipulate customer data to support accurate audience creation, segmentation, and campaign execution.
  • Identify actionable digital engagement metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to improve campaign performance and customer engagement.
  • Advise Marketing and cross-functional partners on marketing automation best practices, platform capabilities, testing methodologies, and digital engagement strategies.
  • Optimize email campaigns and automated customer experiences through testing, measurement, and ongoing analysis.
  • Enforce digital governance standards, contact strategies, and established processes.
  • Lead, plan, coordinate, or align cross-functional partners on small- to medium-sized projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities with minimal guidance while responding effectively to complex problems and changing requirements.
  • Develop new process recommendations and create training and process documentation.
  • Guide, teach, and mentor team members on marketing automation practices, campaign execution, and data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in email marketing, digital engagement, business strategy, marketing automation, or related areas.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud.
  • Strong experience developing digital engagement strategies, techniques, tools, and measurement approaches.
  • Demonstrated success managing technical and creative projects from planning through execution.
  • Advanced knowledge of email HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and JavaScript, including the development of responsive and dynamic email experiences.
  • Experience with SQL, data segmentation, database structures, and audience development.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities such as Journey Builder, Automation Studio, CloudPages, and email development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse, project-oriented teams.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, apply existing solutions from new perspectives, and adapt effectively to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification.
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap and/or Sitecore.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and related digital measurement tools.

Pay

$60-75/hr + Carex benefits.

Schedule

6-month+ contract.
