What You’ll Do
- Develop Winning Proposals
- Cook up qualifications, proposals, interview presentations, and other client-facing materials.
- Coordinate the Proposal Process
- Partner with proposal managers, technical staff, graphic designers, senior leaders, and administrative teams.
- Write & Maintain Marketing Content
- Develop, organize, and maintain project descriptions, fact sheets, staff resumes, qualification packages, and other marketing resources.
- Create proposal graphics and produce polished, professional deliverables and interview presentations using Adobe InDesign and other marketing tools.
- Support Business Development
- Prepare materials for client meetings, interviews, conferences, and special events.
- Aid in proposal production and client deliverables, and occasionally travel to support marketing and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Winning Proposals
- Plan, write, edit, and assemble qualifications, proposals, interview presentations, and other client-facing materials ranging from single-page letters to complex, multi-volume submissions.
- Ensure all deliverables are clear, compelling, and compliant with RFP requirements.
- Cook up qualifications, proposals, interview presentations, and other client-facing materials.
- Manage deadlines and keep pursuits moving from kickoff through submission.
- Write & Maintain Marketing Content
- Develop, organize, and maintain project descriptions, fact sheets, staff resumes, qualification packages, and other marketing resources.
- Support Business Development
- Prepare materials for client meetings, interviews, conferences, and special events.
- Aid in proposal production and client deliverables, and occasionally travel to support marketing and business development activities.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Communications, or a related field.
- One to three years of marketing or proposal experience in the AEC industry. Southeast DOT experience a plus.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to develop clear, compelling, and compliant proposals.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with OpenAsset and Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical staff, marketing professionals, and leadership across multiple offices.
- Working knowledge of the proposal process and Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, with the ability to interpret client requirements and ask thoughtful questions.
- A positive, solution-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn, take ownership of assignments, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- CPSM certification is a plus. Candidates who are not currently certified should have the interest to obtain the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) credential with company support.
