Market Risk Coverage Lead - Vice President

About the role

As a Vice President in Asset Management Independent Risk, you lead risk management for US Equity strategies. You engage with business partners, drive complex initiatives, and influence decision-making across the team. You help balance fiduciary responsibility, client outcomes, and innovation while maintaining strong controls and managing risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk oversight and governance structures
• Analyze market events and macroeconomic trends
• Communicate risk insights to senior management and stakeholders
• Build relationships with portfolio managers and investment directors
• Collaborate with other risk management teams
• Mentor and develop a high-performing risk management team
• Champion innovative risk management practices

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Equity Market Risk Coverage, Portfolio Management, Trading, or Investment Risk
• Ability to manage complex, ambiguous situations
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Initiative and ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision
• Commitment to inclusiveness and valuing diverse perspectives
• Strategic thinker aligning risk management with long-term vision

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modelling and portfolio valuations
• Working knowledge of risk systems
• Strong quantitative skills
• Experience with coding and data visualization tools (Python, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau)

Pay

Competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location.
