Market Director Marketing and Communications Central Coast

About the role

The Market Director Marketing and Communications will report directly to the California Region VP of Marketing and Communications. This role is crucial in developing, shaping, and executing marketing and communication strategies and plans within the Central Coast Market, as part of the broader California Region team of CommonSpirit Health.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual marketing and communications strategies aligned with local strategic plans and overall market priorities and services.
• Oversee functions including media relations, advertising, social media, internal communication, external communications, public relations, and brand/reputation management.
• Work with Market Executives and Hospital leadership teams to establish annual marketing and communications strategies.
• Lead a team of 3 Communications Managers and 1 Marketing Specialist to ensure effective execution of marketing and communications plans.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans, including reputation management strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

Skills

• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
• Significant marketing and/or communications experience at the Director level in the healthcare industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage marketing and/or communications teams.

Pay

The posted compensation range of $63.10 - $93.87 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
