Job Summary
You will cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with community physicians, driving awareness and interest in targeted services and service lines, serving as a vital connection point between the medical community and our organization.
Responsibilities
- Operate under the direction of the Hospital/Market Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and the Market Executive Director of Market Development (EDMD), collaborating with Senior Team and Program Directors.
- Develop acute knowledge in specified service lines to increase interest and awareness, building existing physician relations and establishing new ones.
- Proactively identify barriers to physician satisfaction, communicate issues to leadership, and ensure managed follow-up to address concerns.
- Works with Provider Relations team to ensure consistent and meaningful sales calls on targeted physicians, rural physicians, and those who have split patient volume practices.
- Develops and maintains direct marketing relationships with hospital's medical staff and regional physicians with a focus on long term relationship building, communication, and customer service.
- Understands physician needs within the market and works to develop and increase usage of Dignity Health services by physicians who are split admitters.
- Responsible for developing and retaining referrals from market physicians as well as increasing growth through sales and marketing.
- Supports Dignity Health's reputation and branding through education and awareness of the Hospital's services.
- Quickly responds to changes in the marketplace and adapts to the evolving needs of the organization.
Job Requirements
- Required: Bachelors in Business administration, health administration or related field
- Progressive sales experience within the context of physician relationships - pharmaceuticals, devices, etc.
- Driver's License: CA, upon hire
- Special skills required: excellent interpersonal, human relations, and negotiation skills; excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing skills required; ability to work independently and throughout the system to solve problems; strong service orientation with sensitivity to physician needs; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and all levels of staff; analytical thinking; computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
