About the role

As a Market Application Specialist at Croda, you will be part of a team dedicated to Smart Science to Improve Lives™. Your primary responsibility will be to support the R&D Agriculture program and provide technical assistance to customers in the agriculture sector.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality standards in the department.
  • Provide high-level technical support to agriculture customers in a defined application area, including customer visits and experimental programs.
  • Assume a key technical lead role and engage with specified customers.
  • Build relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers to encourage adoption of Croda products in customer approval programs.
  • Be recognized as an expert in a defined market/product area.
  • Promote Croda's image through presentations at trade exhibitions and conferences.
  • Support customers by providing product guidance and training to the sales team, agents, and customers.
  • Coach and develop staff through performance management techniques.
  • Allocate and manage short- and medium-term projects, ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • Develop innovative solutions to customer problems, often without complete data sets.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities.
  • Show enhanced knowledge of market areas and relevant scientific techniques.

Requirements

  • Aptitude in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in crop protection in agriculture markets.
  • Application and product knowledge relevant to the agriculture market served.
  • Effective teamwork and relationship-building skills.
  • Laboratory experimental work background, preferably in related areas.
  • People and project management skills.
  • Creative and tenacious problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

  • Education and certifications in a relevant discipline such as chemistry, marketing, or other related scientific fields.
